Charles Edwards

Hi

I have previously posted based on info from family bible and 1901 census which I now believe may be erroneous.
Now trying to find Charles Edwards in 1891 census stated born c 1866 when living at 33 New Meeting St, Oldbury, Worcestershire in 1881. By 1891 family had moved to Railway Fields, Albion Rd, West Bromwich but no sign of son Charles.

There is a Charles lodging at 405 Bearwood Rd, Smethwick, aged 25 occupation employed baker in 1891 census. Do you have information which would eliminate him from the equation or possibly prove him to be my grandfather.

Charles and father also Charles had worked for William Gill, canalboat owner transporting ironstone to Burslem wharf.

The occupations do seem rather different.   Try tracing the other Charles in census records before and after and that might prove that he is not yours.
