Using 'Quick Reply' for Postings

Hello ,   On two occasions now I have tried to add a response to questions but after pressing post the messages disappear but don't get added.    What am I doing wrong?

Well, you have 36 posts currently, so you must be doing something right! 

If I am typing out a complicated or lengthy reply, I often save it on notepad first.  Sometimes when the site is slow, things have been known to go astray and I know how frustrating that can be!

Hello Arranroots,    Done it again! replied via the quick reply and it disappeared, I'll stick to the man answer place I think.

That should have read 'main answer place' I think I have some crumbs in my keyboard, keeps missing the left hand letters.

Now you have me puzzled - where is the 'quick reply' you mention?

Are you perhaps replying to the email that tells you about the thread, rather than on the thread itself? (sorry if I am insulting your intelligence here, but I'm not clear what you mean!)

I can empathise with the crumbs in the keyboard scenario though - croissants are the worst!!

Can I just say .... I have NO idea what you guys are talking about ............... 

All I have is - reply - notify - send to a friend and print !! ( though I do have link to calendar ) maybe I've been amputated too and I'm not a Mod !!
