Patrick Kavanagh (b14 Feb 1869/Ireland) Liverpool

Looking for Patrick Kavanagh born 14 Feb 1869, in Dublin, later family moved to Cavan, later again family moved to Wexford. Family information has it that he then moved to Liverpool to live. He is oldest of 10 born to James and Catherine Kavanagh. I cannot locate Patrick on the Irish 1901 and 1911 Census. So the assumption is he moved to UK/Liverpool before 1901.

That is quite close; my records which I obtained from his birthcert would have him at 32 during the 1901 census. It’s a beginning anyway, and is a difficult one. Its one of those I’ve being leaving on the back burner a long while now

Thank you for your kind offer. I have just gone back a further 10 years to the 1891 UK census and have located a Patrick Kavanagh born abt 1868 which is very close to being correct. He is a boarder at the O’Leary Household, Bootle, Lancashire.

Where is Bootle, is it near Liverpool?

Bootle is in north Liverpool. It's about 10-15 minutes drive from the city centre.
