? Irish school taught Prepositions
« on: Saturday 16 September 06 01:24 BST (UK) »
I posted this message on the General Irish forum and I think this is where Chris suggested I post it also..... ?Belfast forum

It is a queer question I know but here goes....

My Father, born 1921 in Strabane, Tyrone and educated there and in Portstewart, Derry was taught a list of all the Prepositions at school. He would recite them in one long list, never changing the order and he never forgot them. He always said them too fast for me to learn them or even to write them down.
I'd like to write them down in the same order he used to recite them, in an album with his photo as a lad.
I am hoping it was something taught in schools in Ireland and there will be someone out there who is still around that might be a little daft like my Dad and has remembered the list.
Here's hoping

McLaughlin; Mulhern in Ireland mostly Derry
Jenden in Surrey, England
Grant in Devon, England
Carisch in England and Switzerland
