which church/chapel? - COMPLETED
« on: Monday 18 September 06 20:54 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I've just received copies of Margam Parish Registers for a marriage and four baptisms, but they don't say which church/chapel the events took place in, is there any way I can  find out?

Anyone have any ideas?

Regards

How old are they? If the marriage was before 1837 it would have been the established church and therefore St Mary's as it looks like it's the only church that's old enough. St Mary's has deposited records and they are available from Glamorgan Family History Soc and Glamorgan Record Office. If you have a look at the Genuki page for Margam parish, it lists the various churches and there's a link to the chapels.

Osprey

Thanks for that.

They are dated from 1816-1824 so would be St. Mary's.  Haven't a clue why I couldn't find that info. on Genuki, mind you it's not unusual for me!!

Thanks again
