Find yourself in History Roadshow Clacton

On Saturday 23 September and the following Saturday 30 September there is a Find Yourself in History Roadshow at Bishops Park College ,Jaywick Lane,Clacton-on-sea .

Times are 10am -3pm offering expert advice on tracing your family history.Essex records office and local historical groups will be there.

This weekend the theme is local history and the following Saturday it will be discovering family history.
Plus a quiz with a prize of a VIP tour of the records office.

I'm doing something tomorrow - in Leicester.  Taking my Dad to the football for his birthday - so I can't really get out of it.  Come to think of it he keeps asking where we're going - perhaps he thinks I'm taking him to the roadshow   No wonder he looked puzzled when I told him 'dress relaxed, smart, casual  

Oh knickers.....I'd have like to have gone to both.

Just have to spend all day there on 30th 

Do you know whether the quiz is both Satudays Lin - quite fancy a VIP tour of the records office.......

Not sure about the quiz as I found out about this in the local paper.
Probably see you there next Sat as I only found out about it AFTER I booked a weekend at Legoland with a veru excited 10 year old.So I missed it too.

It also says that there is a History Open day at Thorpe WI hall tomorrow ,noon to 5pm.
Worth a look if you have connections with Thorpe-le-soken.
I'm going to bug them about my Buggs family and the Rix family.
