Hi
I gather you have full marriage details, but I will put them here just in case. This site might also help in your search:
http://www.brantford.library.on.ca/genealogy/bmd.php
& here is another site thaty might help.
http://www.rootsweb.com/~onbrant/index.htm

Alexander EMERSON,
33,

married

Now here is a listing for cemetery. I am not sure that they are yours, but you can always check with the cemetery and they should be able to tell you details.

Thanks Janice
this is the right Alexander. Wellington is most likely their son because Alexander had a brother called Wellington. Would you be able to find out if they had any other children please. I have been chasing them for years.

Can't see Alexander on the 1881, but may have been mistranscribed...
Here are 2 widows just in case...

Mary A. EMMERSON  widowed on the 1881 , born 1821 in Ontario...(was she Irish descent? as this lady is ) all as Bible Christian
  Living with...William - 1856, Thomas - 1852, and  Maria -1861 in Durham West

Mary EMERSON   Widow, born 1816 Ireland-  Methodist
in Ashfield, Huron North, Ontario

More information can be found here:
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp

Just reread the marriage details...sosee that these aren't the right age...

Sorry I wasn't paying proper attention
Just for the record: The extracted marriage on the IGI says mother of Alexander was Elizabeth Luckie ...The last name spelled Emmerson...
There is also a version with the spelling of MC KIE , but it does not have the listing for the informant

Boy is this ever an elusive couple....wondering if something happened to them at a young age...
Hi, Janice! and welsome to rootschat Lynne!

This person is researching same family, but has only some information
.....http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/b/a/k/Lynne-E-Baker/index.html

http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/EMERSON/2003-12/1071329518 and yet another researcher...
I think you can fill them in on the 3 other births from the I.G.I...

Interesting that they were born England, Ireland and Scotland and then some also ended up in far reaching locales...Australia for Caleb Jr. and Canada for Alexander.  Have you tried other areas of Rootschat to find more on the rest of the Emerson family?  You never know what rootschatters might dig up for you...
 best of luck  J.J.

I forgot to tell you before; the Townships of St. Mary's and Blanchard are in the County of Perth, Ontario. You might want to check out this county, as well as some of the surrounding counties.

Try this link for Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness
http://www.raogk.org/ontario.htm
Someone from Brant County may be able to do a lookup for your cemetery transcriptions, as well as city directories and census.

I was unable to find any more births for children of Alexander and Mary, but possibly someone from the above site, or possibly the Brantford Library will be able to do a lookup for you.

Hope this helps.

Janice :)
