Elizabeth Bossingham was b. 25 Jan 1810 in Kirton-in-Holland, Lincolnshire, the daughter of John Bossingham and Ann Oldfield.
John was the son of William Bossingham and Elizabeth Stevenson.
Elizabeth Bossingham m. Richard South in England about 1827/28, and their first known child, Matthew, was chr. 19 April 1829 in Gedney, Lincs.
we know very little about Richard South. he was b. between 1799 and 1803 in England, and that's as good as we can get as he failed to leave a death record to assist us with finding him. there is a Richard South chr. 26 Mar 1804 in Mordiford, Herefordshire, but I have no idea if he is the one.
they left for America in 1837 on the Wolga and arrived there in May of that year.
