East Yorkshire Archives Closure!

Hi,
I'm devastated as I have just found out that the Archive office in Beverley closes tomorrow until the new year. I make one a year trip to the "big north" and get really excited about all the things I am going to look up that I can't find on the internet. We are going to Hull in October and I was thinking that some of the puzzles that have irked me all year may at last be solved....but alas alack no
. So another year of waiting!

The archives are in the middle of a big move to new premises which is a good thing
but not for those of us that want to go and search

Hi Bee,
Yes I agree that the move can only be a much needed improvement and that's what I keep telling myself but to say I am feeling very frustrated by it would be an understatement. All those loose ends left dangling for another year.

Hi Bee,

well Sue, if you feel the need to dangle,
you can always come north for the Hull Fair
it starts on the 6th October (I think) for a week
