East Yorkshire Archives Closure!
« on: Wednesday 27 September 06 09:49 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I'm devastated as I have just found out that the Archive office in Beverley closes tomorrow until the new year. I make one a year trip to the "big north" and get really excited about all the things I am going to look up that I can't find on the internet. We are going to Hull in October and I was thinking that some of the puzzles that have irked me all year may at last be solved....but alas alack no  :( :(. So another year of waiting!

The archives are in the middle of a big move to new premises which is a good thing  :) but not for those of us that want to go and search :(

Hi Bee,

Yes I agree that the move can only be a much needed improvement and that's what I keep telling myself but to say I am feeling very frustrated by it would be an understatement. All those loose ends left dangling for another year.
