Queen Camel - Martin Family
« on: Thursday 28 September 06 09:46 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know of a Martin family from Queen Camel? The information I have is that an Alexander Martin (ca. 1755) had a son, James Marten (don't know why the spelling is different)
James had a son Charles Rodolphus Martin born 24 Oct 1802 in Queen Camel.
He went on to India, married a woman, Elizabeth Taylor. They were my 3x great-grandparents.

I have just been told that the information about Charles isn't correct, that there is nothing on him for Queen Camel.
Hope somone can help me.

thank you

Not sure how accurate these are but maybe worth checking out the batches and ordering the films at your local LDS centre.

Thank you. I am aware of the IGI entries in familysearch.org. I actually have a distant cousin who belongs to the LDS church and goes to Salt Lake City on a regular basis.
She hasn't found solid proof there yet. And she was told by someone that there were no such Martins in Queen Camel.

That is why I have entered a query here. I hope someone will see it that might be able to check for us.

However I appreciate your note.
