cockburns in fife

looking for any information on the cockburn, their parents were thomas cockburn born around 1791 and elspeth kay dont have a date for her, their kids are david 1834, margaret 1841. alexander 1821, thomas 1829, i have three more kids but i have not got a date of birth for them, they are john, joseph and james, thomas died in largo. thanks katie

I am also interested in the same bunch i believe.
My gg grandfather is a Joseph Cockburn b12 Mar 1833 Cuper, Fifeshire, Scotland.
Emigrated to Ontario 1857.
His next door neighbour is John Cockburn b 1823

So i am trying to determine it this John and Joseph are in fact the same ones listed below. Many of the names listed below re-appear later in my tree.

Thus far i have birth dates for some of the children of Thomas - but not for the key ones i need.

I wonder if you have managed to find any more details on this.

tells us: Elspeth still alive then and may find a will -SP?

Thanks for all this. I am busy going through it all now. Some i have found on familysearch.org. But you found some nice new bits of info i've not seen too. I had not used SP much - now i'll take a look over there too!

Any info on Joseph and John, birth dates in particular (or emmigration records) would be great - that will help me establish if this Tomas and family are in fact related.
