HARBIN & SMITH FAMILIES
« on: Monday 08 November 04 11:14 GMT (UK) »
I am researching the Harbin and Smith families in the Usworth,  Newbottle, Bolden, County Durham areas.  Even after searching through the census records, it is still difficult trying to match families together.  Other surnames involved are McCourt, Daglish and Nesbitt.  Am hoping that there is someout there who is looking for the same families.  Also looking for employment records of coal miners - have looked at the Durham Mining Museum site, nut still cannot match anyone up.
Regards,
Pam

There is a good site for Newbottle and surrounding villages, with names from original miner's bonds.

There are lots of refernces to McCourt, Daglish and Nesbitt in the 1891 - if you want any lookuos let me have first name details and I'll give it a go!

Daglish and Nesbitt are names in the 1851 census too.
