hi everyone...just had info on gru that margery kay was born in a workhouse (like charles) and margery`s mother was harriet kay born c1805...regards allan...just for the record ,i have researched arthur williamsons history and his daughter zipporah williamson was my dads grandmother...but i`ve never been able to trace arthurs wife/zipporahs mother...my ggg grandmother...every census has arthur and zipporah with relatives, but no-one of the right age seems to fit his wife...any advice...regards...allan

I'm a little confused!

1881 shows Arthur aged 17 at home with parents -father James
Also with them is Zipporah Williamson age 6-described as Granddaughter (of james)
So she would be Arthur's neice -I believe arthur married mary.

Is this the Arthur you mean who had a daughter Zipporah???
When was Zipporah daughter of Arthur born??

thanks suz...i`ve botched up...zipporah was born in 1873...so arthur can`t be her father....so now i need to find zipporahs parents...james was definitely her grandfather...regards...allan

1881 Charlotte Williamson was at home with parents and siblings-Zipporah and Samuel Williamson were described as Grandchildren of James

Charlotte Hill Wife 38 Glossop
Zipporah W daughter 15 Domestic Servant Mottram Cheshire
Samuel W son 12 Hadfield Derbys

I haven't found a marriage reg for Charlotte and Caleb-but it seems  that Zipporah and Samuel were Charlotte's children. Their names just have W after them and no surname in 1891

Possible death reg for Charlotte

Sarah Alice Hill wife 30 Stockport Cheshire
Elizabeth Hill daughter 8 Hadfield Derby

p.o.b. different but it looks like its the same Caleb-he liked the Williamson girls!!

Looks like Elizabeth would be daughter of Caleb and Charlotte -unless of course she'not really a Hill, burt Sarah Alice's daughter ?????

Do you have Zipporah's marriage ?
and her in 1901?

I'll look for Samuel in 1901 to check whether he is down as Hill or Williamson

now-going back to your original query re missing children of james and Marjery Williamson -you stated there was still one to find, who may have died
(of course without certificates nothing is certain)-but this looks (in view of the name) a possibility??
