Old Kilpatrick cemetery hunt:GILLAN
« on: Wednesday 11 October 06 17:49 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

I was wondering if the Scottish like pottering round cemeteries as much as the English do? (well, some of us, i.e. me).

I'm in Coventry, so a little jaunt up to OK cemetery is a little difficult at present.

If anyone does go, please could they keep an eye out for any GILLANs for me?

HUGH GILLAN B1857 is in Duntocher is my gg grandad (He married MARY BROWN from Ireland). I have his marriage cert which says his parents were PETER GILLAN and CATHERINE MCGUIGAN; however the only records I can find online for Peter's wife state ANN MCKEENAN/MCKINAN/KEENAN. I was wondering if anyone could pick up anything from the gravestones, plus any dates would be nice.

I know its cheeky, but if you don't ask, you don't get... or something.

Thanks for any help.
:)
