I hope someone can help
I am trying to find some information on my husband’s Anderson line.
Alexander Anderson
(Birth: 1862 – Aberdeen, Parents: John Anderson & Andrewina Petrie)
Occupation: Dairy Farmer
Married: October 8, 1899 - Aberdeen
Betsy Jane Pirie
(Birth: 1880 – Aberdeen, Parents: William Pirie & Jane Young)
According to the 1911 Census they immigrated in 1906 with their son Adam.
Adam Anderson
(Birth: 1904 - Aberdeen - Death: 1975 - East York, Toronto)
Married:
Emily Briggs
(Birth: ? - Ireland - Death: Toronto)
Their seems to be a discrepancy on the 1911 Census, as it shows immigration year 1906, and then birth of sons James 1905 - Ontario, and William 1909 - Ontario.
One question I have is, if James was born in 1905, how could he have been born in Ontario, when his mother didn’t immigrate to Canada until 1906? I have been unable to find any birth certificate for James in Scotland, and therefore I believe that either the year of immigration is wrong, or the year of birth is wrong.
I am hoping that someone can find any birth, death or marriage information on the parents and/or children. (There is a very good possibility that there were more children than those mentioned.) I have access to Toronto Star Archives, and have been unable to find anything listed.
I know that they lived in York South, during the 1911 Census, but could have lived anywhere in the City of Toronto and suburbs.
