Um, food for thought. Wouldn't have thought Rose Ann would of left Glasgow Scotland or to be honest, afford to leave Glasgow. My McQuade women were on Poor relief and moved place to place within Glasgow and not in good health. You never know though, she had a son Francis (more Francis's for me, they are driving me crazy, on McGurk and McQuade) so maybe he moved to Durham (and Durham again!).

I know my Mary Jane McQuade was still in Glasgow and alive until 21st Feb 1895.

Thanks ele...

Hi ele

Do you have either Mary Mcquade born c1811 Ireland on the 1881 census?

Do you have Mary Jane mcguire and family on the 1881 census?

The Rose Ann Mcmahon  born c1837 Ireland who was her husband, do you know?

Yep, they were all living together at 266 Gallowgate Glasgow in 1881.
Mary McQuade b.Co Monaghan Ireland c1811.
Mary Jane McGuire nee McQuade b. Co Monaghan c.1841 and her children, Mary Ann, Francis, Bernard, Jane and Susan.
Rose Ann McMahon nee McQuade b.Co Monaghan c.1837 and her children Francis c1860 b.Co Monaghan but on 1881 census has Glasgow and Mary b Glasgow c.1865.

All three women were widowed.
Mary McQuades hubby was a Francis McQuade b.Ireland.
Mary Jane's was John McGuire b.Ireland.
Rose Ann's was Matthew McMahon b.Ireland.

Mary Jane McGuire was alive in 1891 as she was at 21 Wesleyan Street Glasgow in 1895 with daughter Mary Ann McIlwee nee McGuire and her husband William McIlwee.
Daughters Jane and Susan were at Kent Street Glasgow, boys Francis and Bernard in army in India.

I have so many "Mc"s.... (Mary McQuade was nee McQuillan aswell).

A lady, Anne Jane, was kind enough to look up poor relief in Glasgow thats how I know addresses etc.

Thanks ele...
