Do you have a reference for that, I am quite willing to help, if I can give you the info I will.

There are many with the names you mention, within the Neath area, but I have found none of them together as a family, with names, ages matching in 1841.

I also have been doing this many years.

Hi,
No I don't have a reference. I just put 1841 census into search and it came up with a gov. website which then led me to Ancestry.com. I put in names and Neath. The reason I think it may be Neath is because Jenkin was married there. However, I realise this may not be the case, as he could have been off working there.

I wasn't implying you couldn't do it. I meant that when I am in Wales I could physically go to the area and search the records.

I did my English side, and a friends, researching at St Catherine's House and I loved it. There is something magical about those large volumes of hand written information. We don't have anything like it here in Australia.

I also spent many hours at a local LDS centre over here. Lovely people in those centre.

I was serious when I said I appreciate your help.

Regards,

Jamjar

P.S. I just had an idea. The farm that all the Jenkins lived on, here in Australia, was called Vrowen Farm. Would there be one of the same name on the census?

Hi Janice,

There is no way of doing a search for a farm name in 1841.  the only census that has an address search is 1881.

Good luck in your quest.

Greetings from Australia,

Have just received marriage cert for Jenkin Jenkins and Mary Morgan. Jenkin was a collier living at Tynywain at time of marriage. His father William's occupation is also listed as collier. I thought they were farmers, as they were here in Australia. Jenkin was married in 1849 age 23. William was 45 at the time.

Mary Morgan's father was Roger Morgan, also a collier.

There is a Joseph Morgan as a witness at the marriage.

Could this help with the 41 census?

Hi Jamar,

I have found them, I think! all details match and it is the same area as future wife, but they are transcribed as Williams. Address  Tynywain

Do you want details?  I think this must be them!

Hi Cas,

Yes, please, that would be great.

The Williams is going to throw a spoke in the proverbial wheel.

How exciting, thank you very much. I agree that it is them.

Yes, I would appreciate knowing about Mary's family.

I can't quite understand the residence for Mary. It is something like Caedee Definately begins with a C.

If they were there in 41, I bet Hannah died there. William re-married in 1952. I think he married here.

Are you able to see if they were in the same place in '51?

Thanks, yet again.

Cannot easily locate in 1851, William or Jenkin.  Did you not say that William was in Australia before the 1851?

Will check for Roger Morgan...
