looking for the birth of John Stanford born Gaydon 1849 parents were George  (Born 1827 Merton) and Ann had children John, William , Mary, James, Thomas, George Eliza. Last 3 born Clerkenwell London. Also when did George and Ann marry.

A little more info may help you find someone to help you. Presuming you have found John & family on census data when & where was mother Ann born & when were each of the children born. Young John's birth, presuming he was the first born, will give an idea as to when the marriage took place.

Have searched around this evening Brad & cannot find a birth for John or marriage for parents. I did find the following on the GRO birth indexes -
William STANFORD, Sep qtr, 1851, Bicester, volume 16, pg 68
Mary STANFORD, Sep qtr, 1853, Bicester, volume 3a, pg 491
James STANFORD, Jun qtr, 1858, Bicester, volume 3a, pg 524

If you think any of these are yours then if you send for one of their birth certs it will give their mother's maiden name which will probably make it easier to spot George & Ann's marriage.

hi sally the marriage was 1850 we found it under lavins /Stanford. And john was actually John Savins apparently there are 2 born the same time. listed on1851 census was how we found them .From Merton Bicester Oxford. The William is an interesting one as it's a family name. Thank you for all your help very much appreciated.
