Jones' of Wells Workhouse
« on: Sunday 22 October 06 13:08 BST (UK) »
Hello :)

I have found my great, great, great, great grandmother, Jane Jones (b. 1828) in Wells Workhouse in 1841 with her siblings but am unsure how I could possibly find the names of her parents. They don't seem to be in the workhouse.
She is pictured in my avatar - the one sitting. She married a Romany gypsy and was quite likely one herself.

I have checked all the siblings and her on later census' and find possibly one of her siblings living with William and Mary Ann Jones in Westminster St John The Evangelist in 1851 (which is where Jane gets married and her and her husband's family move to). They are beggars.
But they have a son older than the youngest child who is still in the workhouse - so I am not sure.

Sorry it's so confusing but any help would be very much appreciated. :)
