Sarah Denny - Guisborough

Hi

I'm trying to find out where Sarah Denny is from and when she was born and who her parents were (if possible).


Information I have so far is as follows:

She had two children

Hannah baptised 13/12/1813
Thomas baptised 30/6/1816

Then according to IGI:

she:
 
married Philip Haswell (18/9/1820 - Guisborough) [IGI batch: m105371, sheet 00]
was widowed on 20/2/1822

married Matthew Atkinson (30/12/1823 - Guisborough) [IGI batch:m105371, sheet 00]
had three further children:
Isabella baptised 31//8/1826
John baptised 1/5/1829
Mary baptised 1/6/1831
(all from IGI batch:c105371, sheet 00)

Haven't been able to find Sarah on the 1841 census or locate a death record for her.

Any information you can provide will be most helpfuil.

Do you have any more information about Hannah Denny (d 1838) to link her to Sarah?

I think I've found Hannah's baptism record on IGI:

12 OCT 1755   Kirkleatham, Yorkshire, England
Father: Ralph Denny
(batch P009041, sheet 00)

Her dob would fit for her to be Sarah's mother, but I was wondering if it actually states this in the burial record?

Burials - ages ususally not given this early - but with a child's burial there is often a further reference to parentage in the register.

I would want to look at the actual Guisborough baptism record for Hannah Denny 20th March 1791 to see whether there is a mistake in the IGI transcription - other than that all that is left is the possibility Hannah became known as Sarah - unless of course the IGI has missed off a further baptism. Again that would be back to the Guisborough parish registers.
The only other possibility is whether there are any 'Bastardy Orders' for Hannah's children. North Yorkshire Record Office would hold the information if such orders were made and have survived.
