Looking for Edith Bennett born 1870-1880
« on: Wednesday 25 October 06 23:14 BST (UK) »
Hi

I have Edith Humble nee Bennett.  Edith married Sidney James Humble last quarter of 1900 Lewisham district.  I cannot find them on 1901 census although they have 3 children born 1900-1905 Camberwell.  Edith's mother is believed to be Sophia Bennett.

Any help greatly apreciated

Hi Derbs

Can you tell us the names/age  of the children born before the 1901 - might help find them on that one?

Cheers

Hi Derbs

Ok now I'm confused:

Other post
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,192213.0.html
Sidney Humble born 1868 Lewisham.  He married in last quarter of 1900 to Edith Bennett and they became parents in the same quarter to Albert James.  ???

Cheers

Hi again

OK, then the BDM's :

Albert James Humble
Birth:  Mar Qtr 1904 - Camberwell

Olive Edith Humble
Birth:  Sep Qtr 1900 - Camberwell

See this post also: re: Searching for Sidney
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=192213.new#new

cf: Short of finding them on 1901 under some odd name, I think only the  marriage record  and  the birth record of Olive will help progress this one - as an address on either may lead to their 1901 location. It should also provoide Edith's age and father's name to help find her in earlier Census with her parents. Without that, anything we may find (like the Edith above with a mother of the right name according to what you beleive thus far) is academic!

Cheers
