EVANS, Sarah Maria b 1861 Coggeshall, Essex, and her sister
    "    , Emily b 1869 Coggeshall.
Sorry, but this is all that I have from the 1901 Census, but would love as much info as I can get.

Thank you both for that. What can I say about the father.  I was telling someone the other day that all the Paynes were either publicans or married opublicans, except my grandfather.  He was the drunk. Such is life.
