I looked for the death notice of Sydney, in the Toronto Star "Pages of the Past", but could not find it. I did however find the notice for his mother Maud in 1953.
Thursday, January 15, 1953

Shaw (Dorothy) Jack of Buffalo, New York. Charles of Vancouver, British Columbia and Sydney of King, Ontario. Resting at Humphrey Funeral Chapel 2245 Yonge Street (at Eglinton) Service in the chapel (Saturday morning) at 11 o'clock. Interment York Cemetery, Lansing.
The notice says Sydney was living in King, Ontario.
One year late a "Memorial" was placed in the paper, by son George and Family. (Not mentioned in original notice."
