identifying military uniform poss hussars
« on: Thursday 11 November 04 14:56 GMT (UK) »
I have inherited a family photograph album dating from the 1850s to late 1800s onwards and there are a few photographs of men wearing military uniform. I believe one of the pictures is a hussar uniform.
Does anyone know where I can check to see what the uniform actually is and also what war he would have fought in.  I imagine the photograph to be taken in about 1870.

Thank you
Caron
