Looking at your other post it appears (when she is married to Charles BLENMAN) her census details were:
1881 - age 30 - b Notting Hill (1850/51) (a parish in Kensington)
1891 - age 40 - b Middlesex Ealing (1850/51)
1901 - age 53 - b N. Kensington (1847/48)

(*In 1891  they all have Ealing  as POB  - even Charles who was from Somerset in the other 2, so I only show that one for her age)

She married Charles in 1873.

Consider too, how with the old style writing, WAY could easily be mistaken for MAY - or a Census enumerator may also think he heard MAY instead of WAY.
I think you will need the marriage record to be able to progress with any certainty - for all you know she could have been a young widow when she married Charles,  and WAY then may not even be her birth name.

Hi  All  Have my grandfathers old birth cert. says Way on it and figuring how old she was when she married Charles I came up with that aprox. year. Charles and Louisa were my great grandparents. Thank you for the responce al b

Regardless of what it may say on a  Birth Cert for a mother's surname and regardless of whether that  is correct or not,  in the sources one might use to find her on a Census it is possible that:
1) The source has made a transcription of MAY instead of correct WAY, therefore we need to check both spellings -
2) The Census enumerator of the day, thought he heard MAY and wrote that down instead of WAY.

Considering these 2 possibilities alone against the  3 to 4 year age range in Census 1881-1891 where you know she's the right woman, there are actually  a few possibles for her in the pre-marriage census. Not forgetting how a Woman's Perogative in the age department may also skew things!  And, I know of more than one instance where the birth cert of one child to a set of parents gave  mother's true maiden name whereas others born to the same couple  gave the mother's former married name only.

Though in this case you do have the later Census to go on, in general forget estimating a YOB of a mother based on the birth year of a child where you have no other evidence to support the mother's YOB you arrive at - women gave birth on avg from  age 16 to 46. The IGI do these sorts of estimations on their LDS submitted records , and I found one instance where the IGI YOBs were based on "average age at marriage in the age 20's" when in fact the couple were marrying in their very late middle age.

For example a 20 yr old Louisa WAY b Hammersmith (which falls under Kensington) is living/working there in 1871.  Yet in 1861 - the only apparent match for her in 1861 with parents is a  MAY.  Is she yours?

Without that marriage record or any other information,  family anecdotal or otherwise  to go on - there is no way any  Louise in Census 1851 to 1871 can confidently be said to be yours.

The marriage for example, may reveal her father's name and could hypothetically lead to> he died> her mother remarried> Louisa is using stepfather's name on Census. This scenario and a host of others, can and did occur and can and do lead us vastly astray!
