Can anyone please find for me any information on Tommy Hocknell from Barrow in Furness who died in World War 1 age 18 Thank you Sue.

Hi Sue...Taken from the War Graves site.

T.Hocknell. Private.2302  Died. 12/12/1914.  age. 19 years.
Kings Own   Royal Lancaster Regiment.

Buried.   Longuenesse,(St Omer) Souvenir Cemetery.

aged 19yrs,361 days
worked in the vickers shipyard as a platers labourer
landed in france,on 1-11-14
admitted to the 10th stationary hospital at st.omer,with enteric fever,on 25-11-14
died on 12-12-14
buried the following day,by the rev g.h colbeck,chaplain of the 10th stationary hospital
parents.henry+margaret
sisters lilian+norah
lived at 22 marsh st,barrow in furness[C1901]

Hi Mack,
Thanks for posting the information.  I didn't know about the hospital details.  Do you have any info on Tommy's father Henry, who went to Barrow from Wednesbury.  I know about his mother Margaret (Leece) who came from Millom Cumberland.
Family were: Thomas+Annie+Lilian+Norah+ George Henry+Gladys Francis+Henry+Doris+Ellen+Edna May.
