Looking for ANY information on the name Mayors. It seems that the name went the way of the dodo bird after 1861 as I can find no reference to it after the 1861 uk census. Does anyone have any ideas how I can follow up this name. I have tried different spellings such as Mayers.
The area that I am searching is South Shields.

If they have been miss transcribed I often search without surname and go for christian name and birth year and place and parents names if you have them. Can you give us a little more information please?

I tried ptting in the first name as well as date of birth and parish and absolutely nothing. It seems that the entire family was wiped of the face of the earth. Billie

The maiden name of Frances Jane was Hedley and they were married Sept Qtr 1852 in Newcastle
