This is the only John Alden of anywhere near the right age anywhere in Suffolk - unfortunately the 41 doesn't give birthplaces and he appears to have died by 51.

Ages of over 15s tended to be rounded to nearest 5 on the 41 so 75 is 75-9 - a bit older than your John unless he was baptised late

Would they both have still been alive in 1841? This is the only Esther Alden in Norfolk/Suffolk.

Strange, they are in the 1851 census at Thorpe Abbots in Norfolk, John (age 81) and Esther (age 78), living with their son David (age 27). Their name in the index to the 1851 census is mis-spelt Aldon.
