Link:Germans From The Russian Heritage Society

I don't Know where to Put this?

When searching my own Baron ancestors  i always Get Baron this or that. on German websites. So this is typical of the sites i get.I was just about to shut it down, but i started reading it and although i have no connection to Germans or Russians.I found the site very interesting, because i haven't seen one like before. It's American but all about Germans in Russia,it is a Genealogy site, which has all the usual things. The surname index takes a bit to download on PDF file, its a great website i hope it might be of interest to someone.

Thats what i thought Reg,it seems it's hard to find anything in those countries that might help with Genealogy.Hopefully the website will get bigger, and more people will be aware of it.Thats why i put it on here ;D

Also try googling "Volga Germans" and lots of interesting websites come up. A branch of my grandmother's family went to Russia and then to America in 1800s and I was able to get lots of details on them and also my branch that stayed in Germany.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Great link. My husband has a few branches on his side, so this could prove invaluable to us. Thanks.
