Jardine, Canonbie, Gretna C1780 - 1900

Researching  the  Family  tree  of  Joseph  Jardine  C1776
Outline  as  follows:

Joseph  Jardine  C1776,  Canonbie, married  Elizabeth  Lockars
Joseph  Jardine  C1800,  Canonbie,  married  Helen   Brockbank
William  Jardine  C1834,  Canonbie,  married  Ann  Bell
George  Jardine C 1865,  Canonbie?  married  Janet  Harkness
Robert  Harkness,  31  Mar  1901,  Carlisle

Joseph 1  was  a  cotton  weaver,  Joseph  2  and  William  both  Coal  Miners,  George  initially  a  Blacksmith  at  Gretna  then  a  railwayman  at Carlisle  as  was  his  son.
Further  details  avalaible  if  required.

Does  this  match  anyones  tree?.  I  am  particuarly  looking  for  any  earlier  members  of  this  family.

Sorry your Jardine Family doesn't match my Jardine line.

For your information my line is as follows:

John Jardine married Catherine Rae in England. Had a son named Joseph.

John Jardine married Julia Murray 9 Dec 1836 in Lanarkshire, Scotland . They did have a son named Joseph born ca 1846.

Elizabeth Jardine married Alexander Mellis 29 Dec 1865 in Glasgow, Scotland

Hello Pete,
Looking through the posts I found this old post. My line went from Joseph and Helen Jardine through their son Andrew Joseph Jardine and wife Jane Snowdon.

It's some time since your post but if you are still researching I would be interested in comparing our findings.
