Elsey Family - Winfarthing

Hi
My 4 x Great Grandfather was David Elsey who was born abt 1812 in Winfarthing and move to London where he married Sarah Martin in 1839. On our marriage certificate his father was down as Robr (which I would say was Robert).
I know that Maria is also a common Elsey name which David named one of his daughters.
Any info on Robert or the Elsey family would be helpful.

Hi Sue did yiou know they have 1801, 1811, and 1821 census for Winfarthing online. I can't remember the address but just google Winfarthing 1801 census and it should come up. My 2nd great grandfather was born there and they are all on the census. Good luck Jabawak

Looking for any info on William Elsey & Susannah Edwards. A daughter, Susan was b.c. 1814 at Winfarthing & it is possible she married there before 1848. Any info would be fantastic.

David Ellsey was baptized 5 May 1811 at Winfarthing son of Robert and Lucy Ellsey born 28 April.
Note spelling

Thomas Elsey baptized 23 May 1790.
Lucy Elsey baptized 3 June 1792

Robert Elsey married Lucy Hudson 6 March 1790 at Winfarthing.

Re: Susanna Ellsey daughter of William and Susanna. Possible marriage 1839 December quarter Guiltcross registration district (includes Winfarthing) she either married Robert Colman, Thomas Garrard, George Garrard or William Moore.

Susan Moore, 10

Robert Moore, 2

They also have a Son Ellis 1851 (Bapt on FreeREG) who is down as age 1 in 1851 Census and with his Moore Grandparents Austin/Phyllis
(Strangely Phyllis is nee Ellsey also)

William MOORE was possinly Buried 1 Nov 1857 Tibenham age 41 (FreeREG)
