BUDDLE Family - Deal, Margate?
« on: Thursday 23 November 06 10:56 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I am trying to find some more information about John BUDDLE. The information I have is that he was born in 1826 England? and was married to Mary DIXON 14 Oct 1848 in Deal, Kent.

He immgrated to South Australia in 1853 on "Olivia".

I have searched the IGI and found the John BUDDLE that matches the information I have and includes his marriage but no information about parents. However, I have also found a John BUDDLE who was born 20 Nov 1825 and christened 12 Jan 1826 in Saint Johns Hawley Square-Wesleyan, Margate, Kent. This record has his parents.

Can anybody help to find out if these two records are the same John BUDDLE or at least help to find out who his parents are.

Thanks,
Jason McFarlane

2 candidates in 1841.

1 in Ramsgate St Peter - Parents Thomas (Journeyman Smith) & Elizabeth

1 in Sandwich, Eastry area - parents James (Farmer) & Mary ...

You can obtain his Fathers name from the Marriage Cert ... and thus hopefully link him to the 1841 parents ..

Of course there may be other JBs who are missing or mis-transcribed   ::)

UPDATE - see posts referencing IGI information ...
