service record
« on: Friday 24 November 06 08:37 GMT (UK) »
Hello ,
I have just received my late fathers service records {WW2} and am curious about an entry . It says Admitted to CRS  Aylsham.  I wondered what that might be, any ideas ?
Alan

Alan,

Could it be a hospital?  It's the use of "admitted"; I think if it was for training etc. they would not use it.   Have you tried "googling"   CRS Aylsham?  I think there is an Aylsham in Norfolk.

Good luck,

Nanny Jan

Hello Themonsstar,
The date was 7th Sept 1944, I think he was still training prior to embarkation to Burma April 45. I guess its possible he may have been injured during training, it was certainly never mentioned at all by him .
Regards
Alan
