Hello Everyone

Not sure what board to post this on,

i am looking for my 3xgreatgrandmother Charlotte MacFadgen brn around 1835. i can only find her on 1861 census+. i know she came from scotland the old family tail is that she was a lady and she fell inlove with the gardener (Thomas Rogers) and they moved to England they married in Tessdale in 1852,  and had 2 children but Thomas died shortly arount 1857 after and Charlotte remarried in Durham to Robert Mitchell and had my 2xgreatgrandmother. i cant find her in scotland or anywere in 1851 and 1841 could any1 help me?

Hi Curtiss
Have you tried to get the marriage certificates?   Those will have lots of clues.
Can you quote the 1861 census.   I cannot find her from the information you gave.
