Please could you look for William Crawley born about 1770/71? Found in 1841 census but not from 1851 onwards.
He was married to Elizabeth and she died in 1852.

Looks as tho he was a good age

- must be the Great Amwell water

Thanks for looking for me. Most of my Crawley and Barrett ancestors were either born in Hoddesdon or in Great Amwell, so I had hoped he might have gone back there to be buried.

Thanks for the offer.
The only Barrett I'm not sure about is William (born about 1780 out of County). He married Mary Howard at Stanstead Abbotts in 1806 and 2 sons were born Great Amwell. In 1841 he was living in Ware Valley (age 60) next to his son James - my greatgreatgrandfather. In 1851 there was a William Barrett in Ware Workhouse (68) born Hoddesdon, and a William Barrett died March quarter 1858 Ware. His wife Mary was buried at Hoddesdon in 1820 so he may have been buried there too but I can't find a burial record for him.
