Its a bit like a needle in a haystack without a village. But I checked on the FHS pc today and the only John Funge I could find was born 1750 in Fleet Marston wo William and Elizabeth.

Amanda,

How certain are you that John was born somewhere in Bucks?

It's just that the IGI have a Richard Fung baptised in 1745 in Bray, Berkshire -  only just over the south Bucks border. I was thinking that this Richard would have been about the right age to be having children in 1765. Can't find an IGI for a marriage to Rose though!

Baptism nowhere to be found. Possibly in a nonconformist church near ALMONDBURY or HUDDERSFIELD.
