Hi prilly,

I have found one Elizabeth Gregory baptised in Longstock:

Elizabeth Gregory baptised 16 Mar 1817, parents David and Sarah Gregory, vagrants of Vernham.

I can't find anything in Stockbridge.

Nell

hello Prilly, if my information is correct, one of the many children of Moses and Elizabeth Frankum was 'Elisha', who immigrated here to Canada, married and one of his children was my grandfather Ira Frankum. (Elijah didn't stay here though, he ended up living in the States and remarrying).

My old computer has been replaced and all the information i'd gathered up apparently did not get transferred into this new one.  Anyway, if memory serves me right, Kezia Bull was Mose's Frankum's mother.  The various family trades included: basket maker, chimney sweep, hawker, knife grinder.

The Frankums, Bulls and Gregory's are listed on a Romany website in England and so one would assume they were considered 'gypsies', and certainly they seemed to be moving frequently, census records have them together in 'camps'. My mom sure seemed to inherited the love to buy, sell and travel. :) ............. hope this helps somewhat.

Hi, I'm wondering if Elizabeth Frankum had any children before coming to Canada? Did she marry ?
