As you gave c. 1907 for the birth date - I looked on the NSW Federation Index, but I can find no Sennet births in NSW at that time. The latest one I found was 1898 at Broken Hill        (the CD goes to 1918)

I then looked for births - mother Wilma (no surname). There were only 5 - all with the name Holland. Is it possible Lillian was born elsewhere? or have I missed the record? Could the registration be in another state?

How are you spelling it Sennett or ? there is SINNETT around that District Bathurst one .

Thanks to all for the replies for the surname
SENNETT. After 8 years research I am no further
ahead with this problem. I am looking for Lillians
birth c 1907 Bathurst NSW. This is the only info.
I have never been able to find her birth cert. or
any info. on her parents Wilma and James. Alos
her marriage cert. to Michael Thomas BURKE. 1937
Tamworth is also missing. I have completed the
Burke side of the tree and dont have ANY problems with that side.  
she died in  1948 in Quirindi NSW. See NSW BDMS.
The ONLY cert. for Lillian is her death cert. 1948 and
this is where the info regarding her parents comes
from. No much other info. recorded. Alas. !!!

The SINNETT family in Bathurst doesnt appear to have any connection. I am in touch with a researcher from
that line and many other SENNETT families, all with
different spellings of the surnames.

Shall keep going with this research as frustrating as
it is as this couple were my parents and grandparents.

Hi Melany,
It looks like your search to this point has been very thorough and it may be difficult to find more. Don't give up on it.  Amazing stufff still happens.
A note....
1872 Greville's post office directory shows one James Sennett as a miner at Araluen.

I also note [as I am sure you also have] that there are a number of life events to Sennett's in the Braidwood area.
There are also a large number of events to Patton's
It seems to be a cluster of the two names.

Without the certificate saying so, it is hard to be certain where the birth actually took place.  Sometimes family hearsay is not quite accurate.  This applies also to info an a death certificate.  Who was giving this information to the certifying attendant?

I certainly support Sue's words of support.  Don't give up. 

Had a couple of really difficult brick walls that crumbled and the info was upsetting at the time, but I am glad that I know the facts......and met a couple of wonderful people as well

I just looked at B.D.M.s for N.S.W. from 1906 to 1918 there is NO Sennett born in 1907 in Bathurst of this person:Lillians
birth c 1907 Bathurst NSW.

There is a Lillian Green born in 1907 at Bathurst.
That the only Lilliam Born in 1907 in Bathurst there did a run on the Year 1907 for Bathurst there Melany sorry for this may be Lilliam married into the Sennett Family.


The only Marriage I found to a Lillian is this to a Burke:

Reg/ Married: 15770/1936 
Name:    BURKE.
First Name: WILLIAM EDWARD.
Bride Name:MAISEY
First Name: IRENE LILLIAN
Place: BATHURST

a possibily  is  she  was  born  Paton  her parents  may  not have  married  and  it  is also  possible that  she  and  michael  burke  never  married  did  they  have children  at  alll
