Hi, Helen,
Sorry for late reply, too. Have been busy having work done at home and did not get online.
I will give you what I have on my family and we can see if anything matches at all.I will give you what I had to go on when I started. My family were very split and my mother told me very little. My grandfather was William Williams, was married twice, his first marriage to Sarah Jane Prosser (1897 in the Siloam chapel, Crickhowell). His father is on the cert as Lewis Williams, miner, living in Brynmawr. William is found again on 1901 census, living with Sarah Jane and their first child, Lilian, at 16 Tillery Rd, Abertillery, Monmouthshire. (I know that this is definitely my grandfather because one of the only things that my mother told me was that William was married twice, the names of the children from the first marriage and that he was a miner, then a publican, then a miner again!).The next bit of info I have is Sarah Jane's sad early death, aged 30 years, in 1907. William then married my grandma, Janet Tillings in 1909. By then he had 3 daughters.
