Findhorn birth lookup please

Can anyone lookup the birth of Alexander Joseph Mackie born about 1826, his parents were John Mackie and Mary Kelly, in Findhorn.

Hi I am in Argyll, but my grandfather line came from Findhorn, If its any help there is a site by Moray dist council that might help the LIBINDEX

I took a look on the Libindex for all 3 of the names but did not come up with anything

It is the only Mary Kelly (for Findhorn area) which often would come under Kinloss,  on this batch No there is also a John Mackie, born 1780  Kinloss,
Cannot find Alexander , Kelly is not a common name is that area.
and the spellings of Mackie vary quite a bit,

This birth/baptism isn't in either the IGI or the index at Scotland's People, which most probably means that the record of the event has not survived in the Church of Scotland parish registers, in other words there probably isn't anything to look up.

My 2x Great Grandmother was born in Findhorn in 1826 and it was to registers office i first wrote, and got info form them it was 10yrs ago and may have passed it all over to Grant Lodge but worth a try

... but as this organisation (whoever they are) spells the name of the county as "Morres" instead of "Moray", I don't think I would trust anything they say

More seriously, I see that they are offering to obtain birth certificates for fees starting at £25, going up to £60 for express service.

You can download images of early Scottish BMD certificates from www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk for £1.20 each. Even the most expensive official certificates ordered direct from the General Register Office for Scotland by priority service only cost £23. You can also get English and Welsh certificates direct from the GRO at a cost of £7 for the standard service.

So this web site looks rather overpriced, don't you think?
