Census lookups - Kitto - please

I am searching Frederick Richard Kitto.  He died in Surrey on 2 December 1932, was married in York on 23 October 1878.  Does his name crop up in Cumberland before 1878?  I know he was in that area.  Any info gratefully received.

Do you have a possible age?  Do you know where he was born.  I ask because there are a couple of possiblities but not in Cumberland in 1871.

Sorry, I didn't say 'where'.  I think he was born in Manchester.

The closest one I can find is this one.

He is an assistant at a school in Eling Hampshire.
