1861 censu Belfast ???

Is there even a census (1861) of Belfast,

I am looking for Wiliam John Conroy........who would be about 10yrs.
His father,  was a hairdreser or Barber.

The best sources for 1861 are Griffiths Valuation - Antrim 1861-62 and the street directories of Belfast and the Province of Ulster http://tinyurl.com/5wfhs5 and www.lennonwylie.co.uk

Kosmos- there is no surviving census for Belfast for 1861 but the sources Christopher suggested do cover the period you are wanting to find information.

There's no Conroy listed in the 1861 directory.

The 1880 directory lists two in Belfast ....

John Conroy, carpenter, 19, Leady Street
Thomas Conroy, civil bill officer, 18, Percy Street
