McAdoos in Manorhamilton
« on: Sunday 24 December 06 15:45 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for information about my great-grandfather,, Samuel McAdoo, (b. 29 Nov 1871) and his family in Manorhamilton.  I know that his parents, William and Mary McAdoo, are buried in the Manorhamilton Parish Church cemetery, along with his sisters Mary, Fannie, and brother William James.  I believe he had two more sisters who emigrated to US: Margaret and Jennie.  I would like to find birthdates and other information about any McAdoos in the area.  Samuel McAdoo emigrated to Nashua, NH in 1892, and married Mary Ann Clarke, also from Manorhamilton (please see my other post) in 1893.  "Uncle Jim" came to Nashua in 1906, but apparently returned to Ireland by 1911.  This is about all I know about the family in Ireland.  Does anyone know of a contact person at the Manorhamilton Parish Church who could check the tombstone info for me?
