Carlisle parish records
« on: Thursday 28 December 06 17:46 GMT (UK) »
Could somebody kindly do a look up in the parish records for either St. Marys or St. Cuthberts, Carlisle.  I am searching for the marriage of Jasper Brown and Ann ? and where Ann was from. It would have been between 1841 and 1851.
thank you.

If they married, then it is probably on freebmd, and you can pinpoint some candiates.

Otherwise, it shouldn't take long to trawl the original images, starting from the birth of their eldest child and working back....

All the BMDs are free to search on ancestry.   Choose the complete version.    You might be able to find the mother's maiden name from a birth certificate for a child.  If you look on ancestry then write to the local office you can specify that it must be a child of Jasper.  With a common name like Brown that should help.
