1841/51 Look Up Please
« on: Friday 29 December 06 19:32 GMT (UK) »
Hi Guys

I'm looking for another daughter to my Ward family.

She is Sarah WARD b abt 1814 Croxton K, Leic.  She is not with her parents in 1841 so I assume she is a servant somewhere.

She could have married but the only Sarah WARD in the Grantham district married a William SMITH and I don't think she was from the Croxton K area.

Thanks

Paul

Well since the last one was partly right- we'll try this one!

Family Search gives a marriage between Sarah Ward and William Stokes 1834 and several children Croxton Keyrial.
Some are from LDS members but several are authentic from church records.

This family are in 1841 transcribed as Stoker in the civil parish of Branston.
Don't think I can see them 1851.

Hi Heywood

If we can find them in 1851 it would give the all important birthplace.  So many rels die before the 1851 leaving the jigsaw harder.

Cheers

Paul

Family Search gives your place and some of the children are baptised there-
1835-38 Croxton Keyrial and 1839-1844 Branston.
Can't find them at all 1851/61!!

LOL lets hope not............. :'(

I'm sure they will turn up somewhere unless they have been mistranscribed again.  My Ward family have been called Wardlock before.

Cheers
