Hi Ann,  Wow that was fast!!!
Your Gr-Grandfather (James) we only learnt this week was a twin, as prior to that my tree only contained 11 of the children.  I'll send this little post now and prepair a 2nd, Thank You for letting me know about the PM rules,  ;)  Your James in 1911 was a general labourer at the Iron Foundry, living with his mum & dad, they lived at #5 Mossvale-street. . . . My Pa Barr, his parents, paternal grandparents, and maternal gr-grandmother, Sarah Thompson lived at #10 Mossvale-street in 1911.  So we share a commen ancestor, and where they lived. They also both lived in Westmarch (a street in Paisley).

Great to hear about this Meeting House, as finding Irish records has always been a challenge to track down.  Happy to compair & combine, so very looking forward to see some new found info gold.

Hi Stew

The family pretty well stayed around the North end of the town (that's where Mossvale St is). Westmarch has gone now but it's not that far from Mossvale St.

I don't live in Paisley now but my family still do so I am back and forth a bit

There is also a Robert Farris, who's is the nephew of Mary Jane Cochran. He is the son of Elizabeth 'Eliza' Cochran and Robert Farris (spelling varies for this family too).  My grand-pa William Barr was born in Paisley, when my cousin Denny Barr visted back in 1989 we did not know then the old address that we know now.
Looking forward to your PM, as we're a rare lot with a long tale too tell.
Kind Regards,  Stew Barr
