I used to spend ages either posting or checking various message boards. I've just realised that since using Rootschat I hardly bother now. There's no need. What non-Roots message boards (if any) do you use?

Ozlady,

I agree - what others do you need?  I'm registered on Lost Cousins, but not a peep to date.  Not terribly impressed.  Have thought about Genes Reunited, but having read of all the issues that people have had with them, I haven't bothered to date!

when I first started with the internet,I posted on Rootsweb, received one reply,..with this board everyone will input something, even if it's just to welcome you,it's much nicer to feel you know everyone,,and I can even ask daft questions without feeling a nerd...

I did every message board known to genealogy  :o

I now feel that if someone wants to find me then they will, it's not hard.

I got so fed up of trawling through dozens of messages that didn't have any interest to me.  I have now 'un-subscribed' but now and again I browse through the archived messages to pick up anything relevant.

I used to check message boards on several other well known site, but don't bother anymore.  I'd much rather use Rootschat!!!

I agree with Marie...........I haven't had one match since adding all my ancestors from the 1881.  I don't bother to check very often.

Rootschat is enough for me..... :)

I check Rootsweb now and again but I mainly use Rootschat.  Folks are incredibly keen and helpful here.

Rootschatters are the best!
