Hi Mack,

Please excuse my ignorance but what does MIC stand for?  If it helps I think that Gideons full name was John Thomas Gideon Manning born 1889.  I have downloaded a medal card from the National Archives for William Thomas Manning but unfortunately it does not really confirm whether it is my ancestor or not.

Will the absent voters list be at the records office?

Thanks for your help.

Rachel

I think I saw an absent voters list in Northampton Library last time I was there but I don't know if it covered the villages or if it was just for Northampton itself.
I bet if you rang the chap from our course he would know

Hi Wendy,

Thanks, I will do that.  I may also take a look on their website you never know!

I have another army photo, but again nobody knows who he is.  Maybe I ought to try and find out what regiment uniform that is, and try to do my research all at once.

I could be on this a while!
