I would appreciate a lookup for Charles and Margaret Runciman and family on the 1871 Glasgow census. My guess is they were residing in Tradeston. Margaret born c1837.

good morning my friend, a big big welcome to rootschat, i cannot check the 1871 census for you but at the moment i believe this to be your charles, a search of www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk will give you a copy of the marriage cert (date given by tom)

There were 12 margaret McLarens born in Scotland in 1837, could not pin them down. Will need the marriage certifcate of Charles Runciman to Margaret McLaren on 26 Nov 1861 Tradeston to get parents, I'm afraid, there is only one on SP.
