Hi
With it being a Chapel i think the answear will be no ;D but would it have had a burial ground?I have been searching for a couple of years. For the burial place of my G.Grandfather George James Baron (He could have been cremated so i wont find a burial.) He lived all his life in Blackburn as did his siblings Accrington/Rishton. He died in Rishton in 1926.Are there any reference libraries in the area that hold newspapers on film I am hoping there might be an a article or a mention in the deaths column.

Hi Celia

Can I suggest your ring the library in Accrington,  then ask for the local history section and tell them what you are trying to find.    It's a place I have visited and found the staff helpful.  The number is 01254-872385.

If you are not in UK let me know and I will visit as soon as possible and see what I can find for you.

Hi Jerry
Thank you for your reply,I do live in England but as you will see on my profile I don't  live near Blackburn.I don't have a phone, well i do but i never use it so it's always in the cupboard ;D Having done newspaper lookups myself many times for Rootscatters. I know they can give lots of information including where they were buried. So I would like to take up you offer please.George James Baron died 29th January 1926 So would be in a February edition. If there is an article in the paper that would be wonderfull.I will be just as happy with a mention in the deaths column (different thing)though.
